Smiling as ever, Clarence Seedorf has been talking about the early days of pre-season training at Milanello:
"There is a lot of enthusiasm, it is working well and are happy to see this great desire to do well for the new season."

As for Massimiliano Allegri's coaching, Seedorf stated: "We're doing very good work, his philosophy is clear, obviously we are trying to absorb his aims as soon as possible on the way we should play. A new coach which needs time and we must give him that. We are happy to have him here and happy with the work being done so far. The environment is positive, then, we need to ensure that this enthusiasm can bring results in the league."

As for the World Cup in South Africa, the Dutchman concluded: "I was left a little disappointed by the technical level. We only saw teams attack towards the end of the tournament. The tactics adopted by the coaches were very defensive, they were very concerned about the opponents and their game suffered.
"I enjoyed my experienced there, it is a very special country, there are many stories to recount. My country Holland almost won but Spain deserved to win the tournament."
