TURKEY, Axed Manchester City boss Mark Hughes weighs up vacant hotseat

Mark Hughes is considering a return to football as manager of Turkey, two months after he was sacked by Manchester City.
Hughes, who started his managerial career with Wales, is giving it serious thought after the Turkish FA made contact with his agent.
Russia manager Guus Hiddink is another candidate the Turks have had in mind since Fatih Terim resigned after failing to qualify for the World Cup finals.
Hiddink remains in charge of Russia but his contract expires this year and he is expected to move on because Sergey Fursenko, the new Russian FA president, favours a change.
Since Hughes left City they have slipped from fifth to sixth in the Premier League and been knocked out of the Carling Cup by Manchester United.
Hughes’s high point with Wales came when they reached a play-off for Euro 2004, only to lose to Russia.
Turkey have been drawn in a qualifying group for Euro 2012 along with Germany, Austria, Belgium, Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan.
