AS ROMA, When Totti was 12 years old....
Source: Radio Incontro
AS Roma star Francesco Totti's previous agent Stefano Caira told local media sources in Rome : "When Totti was 12 years old and playing for AS Roma's youth team, AC Milan wanted to sign him. One of their representatives approached his mother with an offer of 150 million Liras (today's 75,000 Euros), but she refused upon my advice - I was a close friend of the Totti family. That amount was too low for a very talented player like Totti. .... When he turned 18, he signed his first ever contract as a professional footballer for AS Roma at 50 million Liras, while Nike signed him for 300 million Liras. A few years later, Adidas wanted to sign Totti for 1 million Euros and promised him a lifetime annual bonus of 500,000 Euros - but other people adviced him to turn down Adidas and I never agreed with that decision".
