The 23-year-old is one of Italy’s most promising young players and has impressed hugely in his two appearances for the Italian national team, against the Faroe Islands, and then most notably Portugal last month.  

However despite his burgeoning talent, Palladino has found it difficult to nail down a regular fist team place for Juventus, given the red-hot competition from the likes of David Trezeguet, Alessandro Del Piero and Vincenzo Iaquinta.  

He has started just 12 of Juve’s 29 games in Serie A this term and has been mostly utilised in a less familiar role on the right or left side of midfield.  

Palladino has come out in the press and complained about both his lack of action and for having to play out of position, and despite recently signing a new contract, his future in Turin is less than secure.  

Arsenal could be set to take advantage of the situation by launching a bid this summer.  

Gunners boss Arsene Wenger is well known to be a huge admirer of Palladino and believes his technical ability, pace and trickery fits in perfectly with the club’s unique style of play.  

Wenger has unsuccessfully tried to buy the former Livorno man in the past, and this time he is confident of his chances of succeeding.
